He was born in 1900 and grew up in New Hampshire logging camps, later moving to South Paris, Maine, and graduating from Bates College in 1925. Working as a summer counselor at Camp Kennebec in Oakland, Maine, he led the camp's annual trips down the Allagash River. Susan found this film collection after her father's death in 1991.
