SummaryThis collection consists of 75 reels, of primarily 16mm film, color and black and white, totaling 24,775 ft. Subjects include trains, railroad travel, and railroads stations in the northeast of the U.S., with occasional footage showing railroads across the entire contiguous United States and a few reels in Norway. Reels are often accompanied by route information and names and numbers of trains, as well as information about the railroad cars and important milestones for train engines, stations, and tracks. Family footage includes Christmas gatherings, children, and weddings.
