      Collection contains [J.D. Davis and Louise Davis--home movies], with scenes of family and community events such as a wedding, parades, graduation, snowy winters, outdoor activities and a town meeting. Other footage includes a park ranger feeding three bear cubs, the first L.L. Bean store and other shops in Freeport, Maine, a Barnum & Bailey circus with the big top being set up by African American men, and a woman being pulled on snow skis by a horse and rider.
      The Freeport Historical Society in Freeport, Maine, seeks to preserve materials relevant to the mid-coastal Freeport area. Freeport, the home of the L.L. Bean company, is known for its retail outlet businesses. J.D. Davis and Louise Davis were brother and sister. Original footage is 8 mm. film.
